Get your cat's attention for videos.

Trying to make that next viral cute kitty video? Here are a few ways on how to get your kitty to look towards the camera.

You'll need:
a kitty that won't mind you making weird noises or waving things in the air, but will be interested
a working video camera
tripod
cat nip
string or yarn
a mouth
hands

Step 1 A noisy method.

OK, first you wait for your kitty to sleep. About 10 minutes (or when you feel like it) setup your camera next to your kitty. Gently wake your kitty. When it's eyes is open, start your camera and make weird noises. From the "alien" to the "boom-shaka-laka" to the "zoom" noises.



A problem with this method is you may not want these noises in your final video, so you have to over lap with music or another audio recording of the room without the noises.

Alas, my old man (he's fifteen) hates having his picture taken, even without flash, so when he sees the camera come out he pointedly looks away, and nothing I can do will make him look my way - until I turn off the camera.  Soon as it's off he'll look right at me with that all-so-innocent "Wha-at?" look.

But these are great tips for other cats :D
