*the following comment is only trying to be constructive* Your only problem is that there is still a ton of black showing on the mask, also to avoid painting the lens many masks allow you to simply pop it out of the mask, then you only have to tape the foam pads on the inside. I think you'd possibly be better off using a tan, and light and dark green on the mask before adding the threads, then add in the thread and paint those. In addition, another good piece to add in would be a camo lens cover that lets you see out but cannot be seen back though.
