Step 7Final thoughts
Please take the time to vote for me in the Arduino contest! Also, please leave me a rating or some feedback. It's pretty late right now, and I know I wasn't too descriptive in the technical details this time, so if you need some clarification, don't be afraid to ask.
Also, if you post some pictures of your own home made proton pack, post 'em in the comments below. I'll send you a DIY patch!

I hope that helps! If you have any specific questions, I'd be happy to answer and help in any way I can.
Oh, and great costume! I love the pack, with the multiple lights and lighting tricks. VERY nice.
Thanks for the comment Catskinner, it's great to have all this feedback!
I'd like to go to TAM one of these years, since it's a lot closer to me, but that won't be any time soon. I just bought a house, so I suspect I'm going to be poor for a while.
It's nice to meet a fellow skeptic!
As for TAM, go soon. Randi isn't getting any younger. He looked disturbingly frail two years ago, and we* are all worried about him.
* I used to live in Florida, very near him. My skeptical friends & I are kinda possessive, as though we had some claim on his wonderfulness. :-)
Can you believe I'd somehow skated through 29 years of life without ever having heard of the Amazing Randi? I didn't even really know what a "Big S" Skeptic was until this June when I came across Brian Dunning's Skeptoid podcast. I've spent the last few months reading Randi, Shermer, and Sagan, while trying not to piss off my friends like some sort of born-again eager to spread the Gospel of Critical Thinking.
Congratulations for the baby! Being a parent is one of those things in life that's unbelievably difficult but absolutely worth it.
And simple is the way to go. The more complex, the more to go wrong.
