Step 12: Extracting the Wooden LED

Taking the LED out should be simple (if you didn't slather silicone along the base, unlike me). While pealing the mold away from the wooden LED you pull it inside out, so you have to flip it outside in.

Mold making would be easier if you use silicone mold from www.micromark.com Get A & B mold rubber and save yourself on the fumes and labor. build a box to house the "BUCK" and pour. cures in 4 hours and release is allot simpler. About $30.00 with shipping. Use over and over ;) Neat project and good write up!

Thanks, I was going to do this, yet time again was not on my side. I had to go with what I could get from local stores, and I could only get enough just to form a "skin." Thanks for the link, I'll definitely get some so that this won't happen again and stink up my workshop for a week.
