I like to cook. I almost never follow a recipe exactly- they are all tweeked in some way or form. This recipe I made up almost entirely. It will serve any where from 3-12 people depending on how hungry you/they are.

Step 1: Making the Crust

Picture of Making the Crust
wet ingredients (mix up separately from dry ingredients)

2 cups milk (I used skim)
1/3 cup olive oil
1 tsp sea salt (or table salt)
1 TBS baking POWDER

the baking powder and salt are added to the wet ingredients to there won't be any salty spots

Dry ingredients

3 cups regular white flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/6 cup za'atar blend (mainly composed of roasted thyme) (find this in the Mediterranean section of the ethnic food section of your supermarket, it's worth it)

Mix dry ingredients into wet ingredients. Wet or add four to get good dough consistency. set aside for later.

Step 2: Making the filling

Picture of Making the filling

1 lb thawed meat (I used ground beef)
1 large onion minced
3 medium to large cloves garlic minced
2 TBS sage
1 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp pepper flake (optional)
1 6 ounce can tomato paste
1 shredded carrot (optional)
1 small can mushrooms (drained)
a good amount of Parmesan cheese
1 pinch of salt (use your discretion....)
basil, oregano, or another herb may be added to suite your flavor preference ( I did not add these however)

Sausage or bratwurst could replace the meat, sage, and pepper. Canned tomato saute could replace the tomato paste and spices. It will be need to be thickened though) Mix all the ingredients together in a bowl.

You might want to come up with a better title, and actually take pictures along the way.
