Giant Venomous Extinct Arachnid- Found surviving in Australia

Australia is a place of many unusual species. One of these happen to be the dreaded, little known and previously thought to be extinct species of venomous arachnid
~Octa-spina'a Aurolenta-tis.

This species which was thought to have become extinct in the early 1980's, has been re-discovered at this local Australian address.

Scientists are baffled as to how the event has come to place.
One scientist is quoted as saying:
"The webs architecture is designed to lure its prey, yet providing the perfect ambush environment for the spider. The bulging egg sack within, indicates that it is indeed a female with young. "

Not only is its emergence considered a miracle of nature, the tunnel phenomenon has never before been witnessed by anyone whom has survived to tell the tale.

not everything in Australia wants to kill you but you do have to watch out for the drop bears. Ask the lads in the USA army who visit us, so funny to see them scouting through scrub land pointing their weapons sky ward looking for a drop bear to get em. Drop bears=

I was all like WAO that's pretty cool. I believed it up until the point where on that "Egg Sack" there were those baby spiders, clearly to me were made of plastic because they all stood the same way, none were curled up or anything.

About 2 large packs.... $8.00US each. :) The trick is to not lay it too thick, then just keep stretching it out to different points. The packs go a long way. Two was enough but we used the third to fill in the gaps.

LOL, I would definitely not venture anywhere near there. I have had venomous snakes as pets , scorpions as pets, but spiders bug me out! Great deterrent for trespassers. Although,the fact that is Australia would make me wonder what kind of spider made this. I don't know if it would work in the states as much, but I still wouldn't go there. Nice Job!

 i literally thought that there was some sort of giant man-eating spider in front of someone's house. i'm not even joking. ugh, you could've given us some sort of clue that you did that yourself. either way, it's totally believable, since i believed it. well, i guess i'm not that hard to fool, but good job.

Because it's in Australia, where everything will want to kill you, it looks much more realistic. I'm pretty sure I've seen something like this with the spider in it at the Thursday Tea-Tree Plantation, but theirs was made of metal.

He He, I think I have seen a similar sight in the eyes of the young kids coming to my property. Their smiles made it all worth while. It is not customary in the AU to promote halloween, yet the community spirit it arouses is spectacular. Do you celebrate halloween?

Tango down! That is an incredible piece of work. You got it looking almost totally natural. They should grey that web material though. Whenever I see actual large webs they seem a little bit... dirty? That gives me an idea.
