Introduction: Gin and Tonic Jello Shots
Here I'll teach you how to make a batch of gin and tonic flavored jello-shots.
This is just one example of a cocktail jello-shot, feel free to share other recipes or improvements on this one.
This is my first Instructable, let me know how it looks.
Step 1: You Will Need:
Ingredients:
1 package of Lime jello
1/2 cup boiling water
1/2 cup boiling tonic water
2/3 cup cold gin
1/3 cup cold tonic water
Other Materials:
Measuring cup
small pot
mixing bowl
shot glasses or small cups
Step 2: Measure and Boil
Measure out 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of Tonic. Pour the mixture into your pot and bring it to a boil.
Step 3: Cold Gin
While the Water/Tonic mixture is heating up measure out 2/3 cup cold gin and 1/3 cup cold tonic and set them aside.
Step 4: Mix It Up
Once the Tonic/Water comes to a boil quickly pour it into a bowl and mix in the powdered jello. Once the powder is completely dissolved add the cold gin/tonic and stir again.
Step 5: Pour
Now all you have to do is pour the liquid jello into your glasses. I transferred the mix back into the measuring cup to make filling easier.
Don't go overboard! These shots aren't as strong as regular jello-shots, but they can still pack a punch if you eat too much. I recommend making small cups, that way you have more to go around, and you can always have seconds.
Step 6: Wait
Once you have your glasses filled cover them in plastic wrap and put them in the fridge. I usually let them sit overnight, and that's more than enough time.
Step 7: Enjoy!
Now your shots should be nice and firm and ready to enjoy!
