Introduction: Gingerbread House Built for Living

About: I am a paper engineer, writer, maker and chemist wannabe. In addition to pop-up cards I design and build furniture, lights, costumes or whatever I happen to need at the time. Lipstick, a mixing studio, all-p...

I don't think I'm alone in having fantasized, as a kid, about living in these tasty houses. Finally, with a little help from photoshop, my family was able to move right in! I just left out the dog because he can't be trusted around food. As an added bonus, we built ourselves a large yard with a white picket fence, the stuff dreams are made of.

Nice house. I  like the pictures of who I'm assuming are your family, it really  makes it look nice. I still haven't managed to construct a gingerbread house not fit to be condemned. :)

Yes, that is my family -- my contractors says the structure depends heavily on the frosting and the various cups and cans you use to prop up the walls till it sets. Kids fingers must be avoided at all cost! I admire families who can have their kids participate in gingerbread construction... mine don't have the discipline to keep from sampling the building materials.

Ha ha. That might be the problem for me too...

    Very nice!

Thanks! They're made of fruit leather (just in case that wasn't obvious...)
