I've been craving to use the Tulip Glow in the Dark 3D Paints for Halloween, but I wanted to do something really cool and not cheesy. This is what I came up with...

Step 1: What you need:

Tulip® Glow-in-Dark paints
Black Fitted Shirt
Cardboard T-shirt form
Painter's tape
Chalk

Slip the black fitted shirt over a cardboard form and tape the back with clear tape so the shirt won't slip.

Step 2: Paint your designs

I used a piece of chalk to outline where I wanted to make the first line. After that, I just kept adding rows of designs. It took a couple hours. I suggest a good chick flick to keep your mind entertained as you make dot after dot after dot...Every so often I would hold it up to make sure it was all evenly spaced. I let it dry for several hours.

Step 3: Glow in the Shirt complete in normal light.

Your shirt will look like this when finished and in normal light.

Step 4: Wear your shirt in the dark!

After that, it was ready to go. I love how it turned out and I'm really looking forward to wearing it out at night to a party or just goofing around with my friends. I think it would be really wild to do a whole pair of jeans like this too.

Just thought I'd let you know I included you in my guide! I'm not sure if the pictures are showing up properly because my internet is a little weird, but hopefully I'll figure it out tomorrow :)

another idea that could use some work and would possibly allow you to temporarily alter an item of clothing is to snip the end off glow sticks and use them do decorate a t-shirt or something.... I thought of this after my kids went crazy with some glow sticks one night.....

Very nice job!
Now if I could figure out a good way to do this with tiny LED's and a hidden battery pack......

Love it! Is this under blacklight, or does it hold a "charge" like those glow-in-the dark stars?

It holds charge for quite a while like the stars do.
