This is a very neat idea, thanks for sharing it. I will have to try it this Spring. You could carefully wrap a piece of paper, like in a cone, around the plant to help slide it through the neck of the bottle. Then gently remove the paper. I learned that trick while working at a greenhouse.

Thats a very good idea tkg it would be gentler on the plant. Thanks
