  • Balsa wood plank (Hobby Lobby)
  • Gold metallic paint (one 2 oz. bottle)
  • Preval Sprayer (Lowe's)

You'll also need ...

  • Super glue
  • Light-grit sandpaper
  • Primer paint
  • Saw

Step 2: Prep the Elephants and Bases

First, primer paint the elephants.

While they dry, cut your block of balsa wood in two, and use sandpaper to smooth any rough edges.

Step 3: Prep the Preval Sprayer and Paint

Once the primed elephants are dry, it’s time to prep the Preval Sprayer.

Add 1.5 oz of paint and 1 oz. of water. Cap, shake and attach the spray can.

Do a test spray, and coat the wooden blocks. Next, sweep the paint across the elephants, making sure to cover all angles. For best results, let the paint dry between coats. If you use primer, it should take just about two to finish the job.
