Graham Cracker "Gingerbread" House

When I was younger, I remember making Graham Cracker "Gingerbread" Houses at this New Years Eve party.  We took graham crackers and stuck them to little milk cartons, like the ones you get at school, with regular frosting.  Half pieces of graham crackers fit around it really well.

I wanted to try to recreate this.  I couldn't find the right size little milk carton so I just used a bigger milk carton for support when my icing was hardening, but then left it out so it is just the little graham cracker house.

Step 1: Supplies

You can use pretty much anything you can find, but I will list exactly what I used.  I will talk, in the steps, about what I think are good alternatives for what I used.

Supplies:
  • Graham Crackers (I used 4 for house, 2 for base)
  • Icing (represented by my powdered sugar, I used this recipe but added an extra half tablespoon of water cause I wanted it thinner)
  • Christmas (red and green) M&Ms
  • Brown Jimmies (Spinkles I used before, pretend that is what the cookie is)
  • Christmas Red, Green and Light Green Sprinkles (same as from Christmas Wreath Cookies)
  • Autumn Leaves Sprinkles (barely used these, but bought them cause they were on sale, I'll find a use for them)
  • Twizzlers Pull and Peel
  • Mini Marshmallows
  • Leftover Green Marshmallow Fondant
  • Square Chocolate Pieces

Yum! Imagine doing a haunted house or something on Halloween with chocolate graham crackers (do they have those?) and having fairy floss as cobwebs and licorice spiders! As always, great ible and nice idea! Hope it tasted great!

Sorry, I'm Australian..... Never had a graham cracker in my life..... But I googled it... You could always dust them with cocoa or something....
