This dessert fills the home with warm cinnamon spice aromas.
This is a low calorie dessert that my Mom used to make with apples during the cold winter months.
Now I make this easy dessert and nutritious snack for my kids any night of the week.
An apple a day!
Step 1: Prep
Place 1 apple per person in a casserole dish. I make extra for the next day!
*I used Golden Delicious, but any cooking apple will do.
Carve out the top of the apple.
*Some of my apples were bruised and this recipe takes care of those bruised spots. Great for cutting the spot out!
Fill the cavity with 1/2 tsp of cinnamon
and 1 tsp of honey
Place tightly together, cut side up into a casserole dish
Bake in a preheated 350F for 30min.
Spoon any syrup from the cooked apples back into the cavity when serving.
