would it be safe to put the pig intestines in with her? are they compleatly sanitary? (some bacteria are good for the mouth...that doesnt make them ok for other parts of the body...especially like sugar..i dont no if corn syrup will have the same affect but it does sound kinda sketchy...fill me in if you get the answer) this looks soooo cool!

I wouldn't think they would contain bacteria that would be troublesome for non-oral openings. I personally think it would be ok to do the scene I'd planned with the corn syrup without worry. But if you would like to be safe, then plug all openings and have your talent wear a latex bodytard or latex shorts. *wink* Besides, the sugar thing isn't too bad, after all pop rocks in private places don't seem to cause too many problems if eaten in a timely manner. *Smile*

As a female, I have to refute the bit about sugar and corn syrup being no big deal in places the sun don't shine.
Yeast is naturally occurring in small quantities EVERYWHERE.
Including on our skin at all times.
(Don't believe me, make wild yeast sourdough starter.)
Yeast eats sugar.

You're just asking for a lovely yeast bloom if you get sugar of any kind down there. Really. Just because it's possible to get lucky once or twice doesn't mean it's a good idea.

That would be interesting but I couldn't justify using live worms for entertainment. hahaha Yes this was for a movie. Right now the only video available are outtakes and the trailer. I'm still in the editing process of the full feature.

Good Idea. I could do that. I'll have to think about it. Movie making is quite subjective though. But what I was planning to do is create Instructables for obstacles and ideas we encounter while filming, such as these intestines. But I could do a few for lighting, using 35mm adapters, etc.

The casings I used were made out of Hog intestines. But they make synthetic, collagen, beef, sheep ones etc.

For even more realism, I would have not made them as "round" or "plump"--stringy and uneven is usually a good choice. Puncturing them so they "spill out" a little may also increase the "gross" factor. Organs never look exactly like they do in textbook diagrams.

This is true. I had one that broke open with the spaghetti hanging out. It would have been perfect for a Zombie movie. It turned an ugly washed out color from the water and wouldn't float in the tub though so we had to take it out.

For more fun, we ripped out the heart of a tomato and poured red food coloring directly on it and she ate it.

But I think the big question on everyone's mind is, "how did it taste?" IIRC, Wednesday is Prince Spaghetti Day.

No one tasted these intestines. They were made strictly for the visual. If someone could figure out how to cook the casings, it may be ok to try to bite them. My other actor, Pete, did use some of the spaghetti to spit out when he was shot. He was pretty disgusted with it. hahahahaha

Hahahaha ummm nothing if you ask nicely! Sarah was a real sport. She did this for free and there was no hot water for this location so we boiled pots of water and she tolerated sitting in a tub of cold water. She's sweet. *Smile*
