Makes one 9X13 pan, or 24 squares

Green tea and mochi meet together in this wonderful chewy and delicious dessert.  The combination of aromatic green tea and unctuous mochi can't be beat.  It's simple to make (whisk ingredients together) and the results definitely wow people.

Step 1: Ingredients

1 lb box of mochiko flour (3 cups equivalent)
2 1/2 cups of sugar
2 teaspoons of baking powder
4 teaspoons of matcha powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 14 oz cans of coconut milk - not lowfat
1 12 oz can evaporated milk
5 large eggs
1 stick of butter (1/2 cup of butter) melted and slightly cooled


<p>I used 2 cups of sugar and added 1 more tea spoon of matcha since most recipes are way too sweet for us Japanese. It is perfect! I could not stop eating. I am bringing this to a potluck party with 9 other Japanese girls, so I am excited.</p>
I just found out that Mochiko flour is the same as sweet rice flour.
