So a pair of jeans I've had get's a tear, nearly gets thrown out, and ends up lying around. What better to do than make a top hat out of them?

It worked out well, but I ended up cannibalizing the entire pair for the hat.

Used whatever was in the pants. Cargo pocket, leg, hip, waistband as hatband (elastic inner, so no trimming needed).
