These peaches are a wonderful treat. They're easy to make and very delicious.

Step 1: Another Option

Apparently, it is also good to put some balsamic vinegar on them and grill them. If you want to do that, skip ahead to the grilling step.

These were great! I didn't have any brandy so I substituted some vanilla extract and a splash of almond extract. I also added about a teaspoon of honey. Dee-lish!

So, my friend, just what are those books about? (By that, I mainly mean "what are the titles?")

I heard about this a few years ago, I think on some food network show, but they recommended a mixture of mascarpone and I think heavy whipping cream. Mascarpone at least, I know that much for sure.

That is a new idea! Maybe I'll try that on the stove until they are somewhat stable, and then transfer them.

Mmmmm I can't wait to eat them they're marinating right now... Brandy? lol too bad we have none (and even if we did my paernts wouldn't let me drink it)...
momo! says: Jul 5, 2008. 12:30 AM
I made these today at the BBQ! It was a hit! I highly suggest VANILLA ICECREAM on top right when the peaches are off the grill!
canida says: Jul 3, 2008. 9:36 AM
Mmmmm. If you've got good peaches or nectarines, just a quick coating of oil before grilling can be sufficient. Not that I'd ever turn down a tasty marinade, but sometimes laziness wins. ;)
dizzydave says: Jul 3, 2008. 8:48 AM
If you brush the peaches with balsamic vinaigrette they go great with grilled pork chops...
puffyfluff (author) in reply to dizzydaveJul 3, 2008. 9:09 AM
That sounds great. I'll have to try that.
Mark Rehorst says: Jul 2, 2008. 5:53 PM
MMMM! Looks delicious! Everything is better on the grill! Now if I could only find a decent peach at the store... I don't think I've had a good, ripe peach in 15 years. Come to think of it, most of the fruits and veggies at the store are awful, especially tomatoes.
puffyfluff (author) in reply to Mark RehorstJul 2, 2008. 6:23 PM
Yes, everything is better on the grill. I agree. The store never really has anything good, does it?
ecogeeko in reply to puffyfluffJul 3, 2008. 7:33 AM
That's why I always try to go to a Farmers market for all my fruits and veggies, the junk you get at the big box grocery stores are nothing compared to what you can get if you buy fresh and local. I also think it is better to support your local community rather then big corporations (even if it cost a little bit more, it is generally worth it).
puffyfluff (author) in reply to ecogeekoJul 3, 2008. 8:32 AM
I definitely agree.

this would make some good old dirty peaches and ice cream!
Bisquick the ninja says: Jul 2, 2008. 5:42 PM
Are they sticky??? I usually put a bunch of fruit in a dehydrator and put it in ziplocks so when I'm out fighting ninja haters and I get hungry I have something to eat that dosn't make my throwing stars stick to my fingers!
puffyfluff (author) in reply to Bisquick the ninjaJul 2, 2008. 6:27 PM
The sauce is like super glue, but once it's cooked it's about half that. Good idea about the dehydrator.
fungus amungus says: Jul 2, 2008. 1:34 PM
Oh, these are sooo good! Was at a BBQ and a buddy made these with a reduced balsamic vinegar on top. It worked beautifully.
