  • 1 cup (or two sticks) of butter, softened*

Step 4: Beat the Mixture From Step 3 Until Creamy

With the hand mixer beat the butter, granulated sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract in large mixer bowl until creamy as shown in the second picture.

Step 5: Add Eggs to the Creamy Mixture

  • Add one egg to the creamy mixture made in step 4.
  • Using the hand mixer, beat the egg into the mixture well or until it is no longer visible.
  • Repeat the above steps with the second egg.

Step 6: Add the Flour Mixture

  • Take the small bowl of flower, baking soda, and salt from step two.
  • Gradually add this dry mixture to the creamy mixture in the large mixing bowl while mixing it continuously with the hand mixer.
Helpful Tip: If you find this hard to do, either ask a friend to add the dry mix as you stir, or add portions of the dry mix while stopping to stir in between additions.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

  • By the end of this step ALL ingredients EXCEPT the chocolate morsels should have been used.
  • The resulting mixture should be a thick, creamy dough batter as seen in the final picture.

Step 7: Add the Chocolate Morsels

  • Pour in the 2 cups of NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels.
  • Using a spoon mix the morsels into the dough until they are incorporated evenly throughout as seen in the last photo.

  • Drop these rounded dough balls onto non-greased baking sheets.
  • Dough balls should be spaced roughly two inches apart.

Step 9: Place Cookies in Oven to Bake

Bake for 9 to 11 minutes or until golden brown.

Step 10: Remove From Oven and Transfer to Cooling Racks

  • When cookies are fully cooked remove the baking sheet from the oven.
  • Allow for the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 2 minutes.
  • After those two minutes move the cookies to the a wire rack where they will finish cooling.

Step 11: Plate and Repeat

  • Once cookies are cooled they are ready to be plated and enjoyed!
  • Repeat steps 1 through 11 until all your dough has been baked, or freeze it for later.
