Introduction: Guilt-Free Power Cookies

Picture of Guilt-Free Power Cookies

Amazingly delicious cookies that are a great healthy alternative to store bought granola bars. A great on-the-go substantial snack.

Step 1: Cookie Dough

Mix up a batch of your favorite chocolate chip cookie dough. Any recipe will work, but the one I used is the one on the bag of toll house chocolate chips. You can even use ready-made cookie dough.

Step 2: The "Other" Ingredients

This is the fun part. Add you favorite mix of healthy add ins. For a standard batch of cookie dough, here are the quantities used.

1 1/2 c. Oatmeal
1 1/2 c. Coconut (I like freshly grated but any will work)
1 c. Seeds (I used pumpkin and sunflower)
1 c. Nuts, chopped
1/2 c. Dried fruit
1/4 c. Chia seeds

Step 3: Scoop and Pat

Use an ice cream scoop to make the perfectly even sized cookies. Gently flatten with your fingers.

Step 4: Bake at 350* for 10 Minutes

Bake in oven for about 10 minutes or until the edges are just slightly browned. Let set on cookie sheet for a minute before moving onto cooling rack. ENJOY!

Cookies are store great in the freezer. To freeze, place in freezer bag immediately after the cookies have cooled.

these are NOT healthy, as much as I like to lie to myself. they are anything but healthy. what your doing is like taking cake adding some nuts and calling it healthy but they are healthier, not healthy tho.....
