Introduction: HOT Glue Easter Egg

A fairly simple Easter egg made out of hot glue.

Step 1: Gather Materials

You will need and/or want the following items...

-Hot Glue Sticks (LOTS!!!!!)
-Hot Glue Gun
-Plastic Easter Egg (The kind that breaks in two easily)
-Fat Max Razor
-Needle Nose Pliers

Step 2: Make the Base

Take the stubby half of your egg and fill it to the rim with hot glue. Make sure that you have a piece of paper under your working area to reduce the mess. Then allow it to dry.

Step 3: Make the Top Half

Fill the longer half of the egg to the rim and set aside to dry.

Step 4: Remove the Plastic

Grab the smaller end. Use the razor to cut the plastic and bend it enough for the pliers to be able to clamp on the plastic. Then peel the plastic away gradually. Caution, SHARP EDGES!

Step 5: REPEAT!

Repeat step 4 with the upper (elongated) half.

Step 6: Touch Ups!

Touch up each half by using the razor to flatten out severely uneven edges. (Don't get too picky!)

Step 7: Bond the Halves

Put a layer of hot glue on one half of the egg (on the flat side). Then take the other half (flat side) and stick it to the glue. Hold for a couple seconds. Then fill in all the cracks around the "binding" glue. You can use the metal part of the glue gun to smooth things out.

Step 8: Finish Up! Clean Up!

Make your finishing touches with the razor and glue gun. Allow your egg to cool. While it is cooling, put all your supplies away. Once the egg is cooled, have fun. You can decorate, play pranks, invent games, play catch, or do anything you would want to with a crude looking, artificial egg. Don't forget to leave comments!
