wait, i don't get it. What's the POINT of this??
bassclarinet23 (author) in reply to captain JackNov 20, 2010. 8:39 PM
The point is to see what happened when I filled an Easter Egg with hot glue because I was bored.
Bongmaster says: Sep 1, 2008. 9:16 PM
thats a stanly knife not a razor btw ;)
frollard in reply to BongmasterSep 1, 2008. 9:49 PM
Actually, a razor knife is more accurate than 'stanley' knife. A stanley is a brand name, like a kleenex, etc. Neat project, but as iKill says; why not drill a hole in the top, and fill it? Lastly, if you lubricate the shell with either talcum powder, or cooking spray, the shell could come off easily without having to cut it. Good concept with good pictures - they could be improved with better lighting. A desk-lamp would make those a thousand times sharper.

Drilling a hole would have been much easier, but I didn't really plan out what I was going to do, so I ended up doing it the hard way.

Again, thats the point of ibles - to share and improve upon ideas!  Next time give it a try!

Okay, thanks!
CarStalkerZ in reply to frollardSep 16, 2009. 7:06 PM
i agree on just about everything you said on this the desk lamp is alot better than the standard roof light i mean keep the ceilign light but get an extra light and the lubrication is a great i dea i normally use a real egg for this which ive pokied a hole in the top of and it takes about 2 lare glue sticks like the foot long ones

geek. you just sound like one. most of us just liked it. but you got specific

You say geek like its a bad thing, without us, you couldn't complain to us here on the IntErNetSS. Without us, you would still be hitting small, furry squirrels with rocks and eating them. I politely request that you return to commenting on all the lame youtube vids
bassclarinet23 (author) in reply to The IdeanatorNov 25, 2009. 9:42 AM
That has to be one of the best comments I've ever read.
The Ideanator in reply to bassclarinet23Nov 25, 2009. 11:28 AM
Hehehe, looking back at it, its not as done as I would have really intended it to be.

Comment Revision: You say geek like its a bad thing. Without us, you couldn't complain to us here on the IntErNetSS. Without us, you would still be hitting small, furry squirrels with rocks and eating them raw because nobody bothered to invent fire.
I politely request that you return to commenting on all things that are not Instructables, such as youtube vids

Either way, it was effective because he didn't have a comeback apparently.
The Ideanator in reply to bassclarinet23Nov 25, 2009. 3:39 PM
He didn't respond to anyone, also my comment was almost a year after his, so I was commenting on old news.

Either way its funny.
bassclarinet23 (author) in reply to The IdeanatorNov 25, 2009. 4:55 PM
Yes, it is. I tracked him/her through his/her profile, and the only other comment he/she posted was a rude and ignorant statement about someone else.

I totally agree. Geeks rock!
frollard in reply to micklame2014Oct 10, 2008. 10:57 PM
sentence has proper is has make. 1. If you want to come across as helpful, do not start with a 1-word 'insult'. 2. The point of instructables while partially is to 'gloat that you made something awesome', its mostly to share and improve your/an idea. My suggestion would undoubtedly make it so you have reusable molds with less work, more safety, and (imo) a better finished product. Also, I know not everyone is a pro-photographer, but virtually no effort in the right direction can make a good instrucable into a phenomenal instructable.

Well put.
Jupitane says: Apr 13, 2009. 7:44 AM

kylem35 says: Jan 21, 2009. 6:24 PM
Hmmm..... This instructable gives me ideas but i need to know if hot glue bounces?
bassclarinet23 (author) in reply to kylem35Jan 28, 2009. 7:34 PM
Not really...I whipped against a brick wall and it just ricocheted-----When I first made it I hoped It would bounce, but no luck.
iKill says: Sep 1, 2008. 8:55 PM
wouldnt this work better if u poked a hole a little bigger than the glue gun tip, then stuck it in a filled it with hot glue, and while you fill it just pat it on the table to get out any bubbles.... lol ya, just a random idea
bassclarinet23 (author) in reply to iKillSep 2, 2008. 6:32 PM
It is better if you use the 2 halves (I think), Try it and get back to me. Thanks for all your comments.
iKill in reply to bassclarinet23Sep 2, 2008. 9:25 PM
with 2 half theres a seam
bassclarinet23 (author) in reply to iKillSep 3, 2008. 5:40 PM
Yeah I know, but you can smooth it out.
iKill in reply to bassclarinet23Sep 5, 2008. 8:41 PM
