I AM GOING TO SHOW YOU HOW TO MAKE A REALISTIC CLAY FLOWER FIRST TAKE A BALL OF CLAY ANY COLOR YOU WANT FOR THE FLOWER AND PUT ...
NOW YOU PINCH OF A LITTLE CLAY BALL. THIS WILL BE THE CENTER OF THE FLOWER.
YOU TAKE THE BALL AND FLATTEN IT UOT BUT NOT TOO SKINNY OR IT WILL RIP WHEN YOU TRY TO WORK WITH IT.
NOW ROLL IT UP LIKE I HAVE SHOWN HERE. SORRY THE PIC IS KIND OF BLURRY.
NOW YOU TAKE MORE CLAY AN FLATTEN IT OUT AGAIN. THIS WILL BECOME A PETAL.
NOW ADD AS MANY AS YOU WANT UNTIL IT IS THE SIZE YOU WANT IT TO BE. THIS ONE IS ABOUT THE SIZE OF A NICKEL.
YOU WILL NOTICE THAT THE END GETS KIND OF LONG SO WHAT I LIKE TO DO IS TRIM IT WITH SCISSORS OR A SWISS ARMY KNIFE.
THIS STEP IS OPTIONAL, BUT I LIKE TO MAKE LEAVES FOR MY FLOWERS. SO YOU GET SOME GREEN CLAY.
YOU CAN SHAPE THEM HOW YOU LIKE AND PLACE THEM ON THE FLOWER.
HERE IS THE FLOWER THAT I MADE AND A DIFFERENT ONE.
