with firefox you can just delete parts of the history u don't won't other people to see. It's easy just go to history > show all history > find the website you don't won't other people to see > click/multi select and delete. Easy as pie!

Now I'm hungry!! LOL!

If you just use Firefox, you can set your windows browser to clear all private data (except for cookies, whatever, you customize it yourself) every time you close the window. You can set it to either ask before clearing, or not to, it's a great help for "stuff."

1. Boot off a linux disk. 2. nuke the windows partition 3. install windows again 4. ????????? 5. Profit! Or just follow this instructible... But seriously, if you're worried about privacy do what I do, reformat every 6 months and encrypt the new partitions. The reformatting keeps my computer nice and speedy too :3

There's one more step. Artifacts of deleted cookies, temp files, and files from the recycle bin are still present in the free space of your hard drive after "clearing" them. To be really thorough, you should use a tool that writes random data to your drive's free space, rendering anything that was there unrecoverable. Google "secure delete" to find a tool suitable for your platform. Some tools are better than others, so read and understand what the tool is doing before placing any confidence in it. I have friends who do computer forensics for a living, and they tell me that it can take up to seven wipes with random data to completely remove magnetic residue from your disk's media!
