could you get banned from playing online? and can you go online in homebrew?
Mar 21, 2009. 11:41 AMstomp_442 says:
first thing you need to do is format you SD card (2 GIG or smaller non SDHC), then put the version of the hack that matches your firmware, then put the homebrew channel stuff on your SD card. Also take note of the number that is stamped around the center hole of the disc (U.S.A. only), does it end with a 0 or a 2? remember the last number. there are very detailed instructions that come with the twilight hack. make sure you have the Zelda game. yes, you have to play the game and make a save game. this save game goes onto the internal memory of the wii. then restart your wii with the memory card installed, but not the game. delete the save game from the internal memory, then copy over the hack from your SD card. exit back to wii menu and start zelda game. load your save game and there will be a choice for the U.S. version on which save game to load 0 or 2, the number that's on the disc. I had a disc with a 0 on it and i loaded the top save game. once the game starts talk to the man or walk backward and homebrew channel will install. after that you may uninstall the twilight hack from SD card, it's no longer needed. the rest of the stuff must stay on the SD card for homebrew channel to work. Before you start the Twilight Hack, make sure your SD card is setup right. when you have it in your computer, open up the card and you should see a folder that says private (thats the twilight hack), another folder that says apps (homebrew channel), and a file that says boot.dol

Had a problem where my 3.2u Wii was not seeing the twilight hack save had to do the following for it to see the file. happy homebrewing all.

http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Twilight_Hack

Note: Some people are having problems with the Wii not "seeing" the save file on the SD card. If you are experiencing this, try setting the archive bit for the data.bin file - in Windows this can be either be done from the file's properties dialog (right click on it in Windows Explorer and check the box) or from the command line using "attrib +a <path to data.bin>".

Jan 10, 2009. 9:10 PMjustin22345 says:
my wii says failed to read boot.elf so I formatted the sd the way they told us in trouble shooting but whenever it finishes it says flash erase drive has been canceled because this device doesnt support it. Any help?
Jan 11, 2009. 11:18 PMSolderguy says:
It is a sdhc card or a sd card? SDHC cards don't work with the wii. Also, use your computer to format your sd card, but be warned, formatting your sd card will permanently erase all data on it. Try renaming boot.elf to boot.dol.

hey....i am a noob here... so pls help me? if the game zelda is a US game...how will it work on a PAL wii without modchip to install the homebrew channel? Pls be kind to help me...
Jan 6, 2009. 5:37 PMDYLEGO says:
all you need to know is... it works without a modchip. millions of twilite hack users can vouch for that.
Jan 9, 2009. 11:45 PMSolderguy says:
I doubt that, or Nintendo will freak out. I for one, vouch on that it works on my wii.
Jan 10, 2009. 9:51 AMDYLEGO says:
I wouldn't doubt it. There are more than 6 billion people in the world, and a few million people using the Homebrew Channel wouldn't freak anybody out. With some people, the way it works is that if you get a conxole, you just have to hack it.
Aug 24, 2008. 6:37 AMzach12 says:
is there any possible way i can get homebrew without the game zelda
Jan 5, 2009. 4:33 PMCapt. Fat says:
Hey Twilight Princess is awesome!!!! You leave Zelda out of this!!!!!!!!!!! (Joke)
Aug 24, 2008. 4:43 PMzach12 says:
i only need the game once?
Jan 10, 2009. 1:32 PMSolderguy says:
If you liked the game you could just copy it and return the original.
Jan 6, 2009. 5:36 PMDYLEGO says:
the game is only used as an installer for the hack, basically yeah, only once. then you can return it, but the channel will be on your wii, so its ok.

I have version 3.2 will it work with that? or is my system to old??
Dec 10, 2008. 8:17 AMcpjolicoeur says:
The download file for the SD card files does not contain DVDx. The DVDx folder is there in the Apps directory but there is no content inside.
Dec 19, 2008. 2:48 PMwinkep58 says:
did you ever get an answer to your question...I have the same problem...no file in the folder. Thanks.
Dec 19, 2008. 3:07 PMcpjolicoeur says:
I ended up using another much easier method that doesnt even need DVDx.

Check out this tutorial, it worked perfectly for me and now I can play burned games no problem:
