Introduction: Halloween Glassy Cupcakes

About: I'm a mom and wife! I like doing crafts and being creative. Always looking for new projects to do! And always on budget!

Step 1: Bake Cupcakes and Cool

I just used a box cake and icing! You can do home made if you prefer! Go by directions on box! To keep cupcakes moist it is vital to time your cupcakes! Toothpick test is good to go by! Stick toothpick in center, if it comes out clean, the cupcakes are done! As soon as you pull pan out remove cupcakes as soon as possible to cool, don't leave in hot pan they will continue to cook, which will lose moistness! After they cool, put white icing on them!

Step 2: Start on Glass Candy

ingredients are in picture! You want to stir sugar water and syrup over medium heat, until it's completely dissolved which may take a while 15 mins or so. After it's clear and at steady boil out in your can't thermometer and let sit and boil until thermometer reads 300degrees. This is a long process and takes a while to get to the right temp, so if you don't have a thermometer you can also do test drops into cold water! If it's not hot enough it will not harden!!! After it's ready, pour onto cookie sheet pan or on wax paper the bigger the pan or surface the thinner and more clear your glass will be! Pour out candy and let harden

Step 3: Easy Fake Blood

Chocolate syrup makes great blood! Just add a 1/2 teaspoon of red food coloring to 1/2 cup of syrup.mix well! Sit one tester cupcake to the side so you can test out color to see if it's the desired blood red! I just dripped it on with a spoon to give a great look of dripped blood!

Step 4: Select the Right Ones

The best ones are the sharpest looking I think! Pick out your perfect size and drip on your blood to complete your work! Vuala
