What is is about skulls?

They're just... fascinating.

It's that time of year again, so I thought I'd make a skull decoration.  Papercraft skulls have been done before (one of my favourites is from Skull-a-Day), but paper lends itself to minimalism as much as it does to flounces and detail, maybe more.

So, I present my Minimalist Skull.

If you're having party, It can also be a small box in which to place small treats for your guests.  Either place one at each place-setting, instead of Christmas crackers, hand one to each guest as they arrive, or place a bowl full of them in the middle of the table for guests to help themselves to.

Step 1The needings...

The needings...
Obviously, you need the template (three versions attached to this step), something to cut with, and glue.

If you're going to use them as party favour boxes, you'll also need something to go in them, such as small pieces of candy, a scrap of paper with a pithy seasonal saying ("Success comes to he with the reddest blood"), a paper hat or a cheap gift, such as a plastic spider.  Think along the lines of Christmas crackers, but with a Hallowe'en feel, and you won't go wrong.

These are great, will be giving one to each of my school kids that ride my bus. Is there a way to enlarge them?
