Step 3Attaching the bow
In this step you will tie (or more properly, "lash"), the bow onto the rest of the crossbow (the "stock"). Start by positioning the bow like so, perpendicular to the stock. It can be adjusted later.
1. Begin by wrapping the string around the stock a few times.
2. Now, take the string under the bow and over the stock, then back under the bow and back over the stock. You should have made a circle. Repeat this about five times.
3. Next, take the string and wrap is around the string that you just tied. It should now go over the bow and under the stock. Do this about five times. Make sure it is very tight.
4. Finish by taking the end of the string and securing it to the top of the stock. This is the most crucial step and will have to be secure; it will be taut when the crossbow is cocked and will keep the bow in place.
