In this Instructable, I'll be showing how to give the gift of (roughly) fifty house points to a friend's favorite Hogwarts house (or your own)! The necklace set we'll be making is based on the large house point containers from the Harry Potter universe. We'll be covering how to make a single necklace, which will be enough to enable you to make the full set of one for each house! Let's get started!

Step 1: Parts

For this Instructable, the only thing you'll need tools-wise is a pair of pliers.

Necklace Chain
Necklace Findings (namely loops to attach the pendant to the chain)
Earring Backs
Seed Beads (the color of which is whatever house you want to make)
Bead Landing - "Found Objects" - Glass Capsule (comes in a pack of two)

See the pictures for images of the parts. Note that if you cannot find the Glass Capsules, you can make them using a small glass tube and bead caps.

6/14/13 EDIT: I added a picture of the back of the Glass Capsules since they're proving hard to find. I got mine at Micheal's, and they come in a variety of metals for the bead caps (silver, bronze, etc.). I'll keep looking for online retailers that carry them too!
I found them online, but unfortunately the companies do not deliver to my area, they are great prices, 4 dollars for two. You just have to look up Fillable Glass Viles- Antique Silver, sorry it's a bit late. Thanks.
Omg! I absolutely LOVE these, but I can't find them ANYWHERE! If any one knew where I could get ones like this online that ships to ireland, please let me now, as quick as you can, thanks.
Its clear from the pictures that you put something around the earing back at the end. What is it?
They are amazing but can anyone find the glass capsules on a uk site with £ instead of dollars?
Signed, Sealed and Remembered Line by Darice. Charms Fillable Tube (there are copper, silver, and brass ones).

www.consumercrafts.com/store/details/catalog/jewelry-signed-sealed-and-remembered-line/ssr-073

I love these. I just wish I could find similar capsules...well, anywhere. Even Amazon has failed me. :(
Thank you so much for this instructable. The pendants are such a neat idea and the steps were very clear. I saw it this morning and went looking for the items the same day, thinking it might be a nice activity for my teen. She enthusiastically finished a set the same evening!
Aww, I'm really glad you all enjoyed making them! They look fantastic!! :D
This may be what you are looking for. It is similar but probably a different maker.

http://www.firemountaingems.com/itemdetails/H20A6564FN
Amazing! Thanks for sharing.
I LOVE THIS! I fall in love with a LOT of projects here on Instructables, but this is the first one I've actually, immediately, purposely googled the goods to make the item. I've struck out with finding the glass capsules. I do appreciate your alternate suggestion of "using a small glass tube and bead caps;" however, I'm not yet willing to give up the ghost on finding yours. They seem to come from Michaels. Your photos are excellent! So good I can tell there is no sku, item, or otherwise identifying number on the front of the bead landing package. In the off-chance you've still got the package, might you check for an item number on the back? I'll sooooooooo appreciate any leads you might be able to give me!
I uploaded the picture! I'll keep looking online myself to see if I can find some online retailers using the infos from the back of the package. I edited the picture into the "Parts" section, hope it helps!! :D
I found them!! They're bronze instead of silver, but they'd still work perfectly! I'm at Michael's right now and apparently I can't upload pics on my phone, but I took a picture of the back of the package I'll upload once I'm home! :D
Gah, I'll see if I can find the package! I'm worried I threw them away, but I might know where.

I did get them at Michaels; the one I went to had a lot of the "Found Objects" series in a single section.

Wait, now that I think about it they might still have some! I'll run out and see if they're still there :D
Omigosh! Ingulit. I'll so appreciate any info you can give me, but geez-oh-man, Ingulit, please don't go to any extra trouble.

Oh, and hey! I just did vote for you. Thanks for the heads up - I'm enough of a newb that I've not yet caught on to some of the extra bells and whistles of appreciating contributors.
Maybe you could also cut clear pvc pipe?
I had no idea such a thing existed (I learn so much on this site!).

Clear PVC... clear PVC... clear PVC... hmmmm - boy. What I could do with clear PVC. (Did I mention I learn so much on this site?)
And thank you!! I'm really happy you like it so much :D
Awesome! If I were to do it (which I think I will, they look amazing) and would probably do two colour beads and have Gryffindor as red and gold, Hufflepuff as yellow and black, Slytherin with green and silver etc.
I know I already said this, but if you like this Instructable, please be sure to vote for it in the Jewelry Contest!! https://www.instructables.com/contest/3djewelry2013/
This is such a neat idea - not to mention the necklaces are adorable. :D
Awesome! Those little capsules were a nice find!
