High-tech prank

Have you ever wanted to have an automated BB gun shoot your enemy whenever they use their computer? Of course you have! This Instructable will show you how to hook up yor weapon of choice to a computer and set it to fire whenever they use their favorite program. The best part is, you don`t need any special microcontrollers, arduino, or other fancy stuff! its soooo simple!

Step 1: Materials

 Heres what you need...

MATERIALS:

>Some old keyboard with LED`s for the capslock, numlock ect.
>Another keyboard (It wont get taken apart, and it will still work perfectly after using it)
>Wire (any kind will do)
>Power supply (One that will power the motor, witch will probably be only a few volts) I used a wall adapter.
>A relay that dosen`t need much power to trigger it. (I used a solid state (light) relay) 
>BB gun or other type of (mostly) harmless weapon
>Ammo for your weapon of choice
>Some kind of motor to pull the trigger.
>Computer with internet (it will be safe)
>Bird (optional)

TOOLS

> Eye-ware
>Pen
>Dremel or other rotary tool
>Something to test the circuit (an led will do)
>Tape!
>Project box of some kind
> Scissors
>Miscellaneous tools. Pliers, screwdriver, ect.
>Soldering stuff

Step 2: The keyboard

Open up the keyboard with your screwdriver. Look under rubber feet and stickers for hidden screws.
Then take all the stuff out.

Step 3: Removing

 Unscrew and remove the electronics.

Step 4: Soldering

Plug the keyboard into a computer, then on another keyboard that is plugged into the computer, press the Num Lock button a few times. Note the light that flashes on the keyboard you just took apart.
UNPLUG THE KEYBOARD
 Remove the LED that flashed by either desoldering it, or cutting it of.
Then solder 2 wires onto the circuit board where the LED was. IT WILL BE HARD TO SOLDER WIRES ONTO THE TINY LITTLE BIT OF SOLDER ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD. BE CAREFUL NOT TO SHORT IT OUT BY DRIPPING SOLDER BETWEEN THE CONNECTIONS ON THE CIRCUIT BOARD. IF YOU NOT AN EXPERIENCED SOLDERER, YOU MAY WANT TO ASK SOMEONE FOR HELP.

Step 5: Testing

Attach you circuit tester to the two wires you just soldered on, And plug the keyboard into the computer. On another keyboard that is plugged into the computer, press the Num Lock key a few times, and the tester should get a reading. If it dosen`t, switch the polarities. If you still have no luck, try checking the connections.
Unplug the keyboard.

Step 6: Tape it up!

 You will notice I attached more than two wires to it. Just ignore them.

Step 7:

 Attach tape to the wires, then use you connection tester to find out with wire is positive, and witch is negative. ***YOU ONLY NEED TO DO THIS IF YOUR TRIGGER PULLER IS POLARITY-SENSITIVE***

Step 8: The Box

 Put the keyboard in a project box.

Step 9: The gun

Fill you weapon with ammo and load it.

Step 10: The Trigger puller

 Attach the trigger puller with tape. ***Make sure the trigger puller can pull the trigger without getting jammed on something.***

Step 11: Testing (again)

Attach the wires coming out of the keyboard to the control on the relay, then attach the circuit tester and your power supply. Now, plug both the keyboards into the computer (the busted up one and the regular one). On the regular one, press the Num Lock button, and you should get a reading on your tester.

Step 12: Here we go!

 Now replace the tester from the last step with your trigger puller, load your weapon, and press num lock on the normal keyboard! (they should both still be plugged into the computer).

Step 13: Final setup

Now, put the gun in a good hiding spot, but where it is still aiming at where a person at the computer would be sitting. *****DON`T AIM AT WHERE THEIR FACE WORLD BE!!****

Make sure its still plugged into the computer...

Step 14: Download...

This will make it so whenever you open Firefox, Google chrome, or internet explorer, or whatever, the gun will fire. The link is virus free, so don`t worry.

Step 15: Auto hotkey

 Download and install AutoHotkey.
 Right-click an empty spot on your desktop or in a folder of your choice.
 In the menu that appears, select New -> AutoHotkey Script.
 Type a name for the file. (preferably one your enemy uses allot)
 Right-click the file and choose Edit Script.
 On a new blank line, type the following: 

                                        "Send {NumLock}"

(without quotes, case sensitive)

Step 16: Now, put the file somewhare...

Now, putt the file somewhere they wont find it.
Right-click-drag the file to the desktop, and select create shortcut.
Right-click the shortcut, and select properties.
Goto the shortcut tab.
Select change icon.
Change it to the icon of the filename you gave it in the last step.
If you cant find the icon, select browse, and goto program files>{the program you want}.
It will probably be in there somewhere.

Step 17: Done!

UMMM just stateing but step six says to notice the extra wires and then says ignore them.........ummmm...... it's kinda hard to ignore something you told us 2 notice.....LOL just thought i would point that out....

The extra wires are for more advanced uses. They are attached to num lock, and scroll lock buttons.

I need to update this tutorial. I made when I was 11, and it kinda sucks now that I have an arduino and other microcontrollers.
