Introduction: Highlight and Contouring for a Night Out
Its a good day and your friends want you to come and hangout at a bar, but you look a mess and would like to attract a guys eye. Well your not alone! Its time to get out your panjamas and look fancy. LETS HIGHLIGHT!
Step 1: Gather Your Materials
You will need
· Foundation Brush and two Powder brushes
· Blending Sponge
· Foundation of your natural skin tone
· Concealer 3 shades lighter than your foundation and 1 shade darker than your foundation
· Finishing Powder
· Primer and lipstick of your choice
· HD Banana Powder of your choice
Step 2: Before Application
Prep your face with a primer of your choice I use shea butter because I have dry skin. Make sure your eyebrows are filled in and outlined.
Step 3: Foundation Application
Use only two pea size drops of foundation to apply to your face. Make sure you blend you outlined eyebrows with your foundation to reduce the “pop out” effect.
Step 4: Lets Highlight
Time to highlight!!
You want to focus on the “T” shaped section on your face which is your eyes from left to right as well as your bridge which is you head, nose, lips and chin. Using a concealer 3 shades lighter, you will start out by highlighting underneath your eyes and your forehead. You will then stroke one time down your nose and on top of your lips. Last you will highlight your jaw bone and chin.
Step 5: BLEND BLEND BLEND!
Now it’s time to blend your highlights out into your skin lightly using a blending brush.
Step 6: Contour
To contour use a concealer 1 shade darker than your skin complexion and go right under your highlighted cheeks and on either side of your nose to make your nose look slightly narrow.
Step 7: BLEND AGAIN
You will take the opposite side of your blending brush and blend your dark concealer in an upward direction towards your cheek bones.
Step 8: Baking Time
It’s now time to set your highlights in, by using your HD Banana powder. Only apply on your highlighted areas on your face and allow to set for 5 to 8 minutes. This is what we call "Baking your face".
Step 9: Make It Pop
Use a liquid Liner and trace out a wing out towards your eyebrows but not touching it. Apply a little gold eyeshadow if you wish to. Finally apply mascara to make your eyelashes look longer. The main goal is to make your eyes pop out as much as possible.
Step 10: Put It All Together
Take your finishing powder and lightly rotated in a circular motion all over your face. This will bring your highlights and contour all together.
Step 11: Lips (Optional)
This step is optional, but nude is a great beginer color for people who do not yet know what color suits their face. Outline your lips with a dark brown lip pencel and apply nude lipstick in the midle to give an ombre look.
Step 12: Lets Enhance Those Cheeks
Now that you have set your face and applied your lipstick its time to finish it off with a light Gold Bronzer. Lightly dap up ward your bronzer on your cheek bones to give it a nice glow.
Step 13: Finished Look
Now your ready for all they guys that will look your way. Here is the finished product.
