maple short board with mahogany inlays and kick tail
How did you inlay it
That's a vicious board. I miss my longboard.
what happened to it?
Snapped.
what board was it?
A sire longboard
hmmmm i have never heard of them.......
Not the best out there.
make one
You can do that by using a wide ski and cutting it in the shape of a board and you dont need a press.
How did you press your board? Looks great! I am building longboards for my whole family and I would love to know how you did this one. Thanks
i didn't press it. it's solid 3/4" piece, i glued the kick tail on.
glued it on? Wow how did you manage that? Is it strong enough?
if you want to see some good ideas on a press check out http://users.pandora.be/Toothless/Toothless/pages/instructions/instructions_index.html
I used a similar technique to his "simple press". on some long boards i built.
it's strong. i just got my trucks for it and have been skating it for a few weeks now. i didn't glue it on end to end, i cut the end of the panel off and glued it flat on top. (carefully matched up the stripes) so that the last little bit was twice as thick. then i cut and sanded away every thing that didn't look like a kick tail. no bending involved.
how did u get the kick on it?
i glued a piece flat on the top, and then beveled it with the table saw.
it looks awesome but how did u make it
nice craftsman ship. have you tried it out yet? how does it ride?
I don't have any wheels for it yet, I can't wait to ride it!
oh bummer, well when you do it will be a sweet ride
