Introduction: Homemade Airsoft Grenades

About: I like inventing, experimenting, rockets, film making, and more! I consider myself a teenaged genius. I feel that with enough time I could build anything.

This is a very easy and cheap way to make a homemade airsoft grenade.  It is made out of a firecracker and I had all the supplies to make it around my house.

Step 1: Materials

What's Needed:
Airsoft BBs
Firecracker(s)
Hot Glue Gun

Step 2: Get Ready

Plug in tour hot glue gun and let it heat up.  While it is heating up, pour out a lot of BBs.  You may want put the BBs in a bowl or on a plate.  You should do this because you need quick access to them.

Step 3: Glue Time!

Put glue down the length of the firecracker.  Quickly place BBs on the glue spots.  Repeat this step until the entire firecracker is covered in the BBs.  Place a dab of glue on the bottom of the firecracker and apply a BB.

Step 4: Check

After you have finished putting the BBs on the firecracker, check to see if it matches the finished product photos.  If so you are done.

Step 5: Quick Tip

I bend the fuse about half-way down the wick.  When you light the grenade, wait for the fuse to reach this part.  That way when you throw it at the enemy, they probably will not have time to throw it back at you before it detonates.

Step 6: Try It Out

If you build this be careful when using the hot glue.  This build requires your fingers to be close to the hot glue.  During this build I accidently touched the hot glue and put a burn blister on my index finger.
When you are using this, be careful.  This is a live explosive and if used improperly it can cause hearing damage, eye damage, and it is also capable of creating a loss of fingers or at the worst,...DEATH!
Use this responsibly!  I will not be held responsible for damages of any sort.

You could, the stones would just have to be really small, but the problem with that is that it will be heavier, and the stones probably wouldn't go as far. This will also make it more dangerous.

Yes. The firecracker itself is completely ripped apart to extremely tiny pieces without any thing on it. So the BBs that don't fly off from the explosion, fly off with the pieces of the firecracker.

I don't believe you can do that. You may be able to use a bottle rocket but it won't be as powerful.

I don't understand the question. Sorry. Could you be more specific?

squibs (according to thefreedictionary.com) are fireworks that that burn with a hissing noise and culminate in a small explosion, so he probably means the kind that like catch on fire a spin and shoot all the sparks everywhere.

Oh, O.K. I thought SUPER CAI CAI meant the kind that Hollywood uses to make it look like someone was shot.

This is the exact same design i posted a while back, im not saying i designed them because someone may and probably has done so before me, but if you got the idea from me some credit somewhere in the ible would be appreciated, other than that good ible, and thanks for putting the design out there some more

I swear I did not steal this idea from you! I do not steal ideas from people. I apologize for any confusion.

Hey no problem man kinda cool actually that we came up with the same idea, great minds think alike i guess

Good job! Check out my instructable and make it into a trip mine. I did this once but firecrackers were not powerful enough so i made my own. I eventually made one that shot bbs up past the tops of 200-300 foot trees. If you try any higher explosive... i recommend you place it in a cardboard box first and if it makes a hole threw 1 or more sheets, i wouldnt use it because it may be to powerful. Also the least sticky glue is the best because they sometimes stick together.

Thanks! I appreciate the tips. I used hot glue because it is meant to be carried in a pocket or something like that and I didn't want it to fall apart during transportation or a battle.
