Homemade Chipwich

Homemade Chipwich
Nothing beats the Chipwich. A homemade Chipwich is just as delectable. Follow this simple recipe and your taste buds will thank you.

Step 1Ingredients

Ingredients
You will need:
  • 2 cookies
I use Chips Ahoy cookies because they are a pretty strong cookie which can withstand the process of making the Chipwich. They also taste great. However, homemade cookies are even better, but unless they harden up, they are not strong enough to withstand the process of making the Chipwich. Grandma's Cookies also work very well because they are big. They just lack in the strength.
  • Ice Cream
Any flavor of ice cream will do. Choose your own flavor. I purchase the ice cream in the tubs, so I get more bang for my buck.

The mini chocolate chips might make an even better siding than full sized.

looks deliiiicious, you could put t scoops on one big soft cookie(preferrably grandmas cookies-the big ones that come in packs of twos), press the ice cream down with something like a tupperware lid, then place the top cookie, especially for braces wearing peeps, hard cookies=not good, i've done it before, but never thought to use 2 scoops....thx!

Quick, easy and my kids love em ! so much so that I made a batch of 20 put them in the freezer and the kids ate them ALL in the space of 24hrs. Tut,tut. Have tried them with variations on the ice cream flavour and cookie size, all of which went down really well. Yummy :)

Very good looking.....I like to use soft yet durable oatmeal cookies (you can add Choc.chips to the ice cream if you like)....the cookies don't break up and crumble as easily as the hard ones
