Here's a great hint ... get some Nan bread from the grocery store and use that as your crust. I generally make pizza out of whatever leftovers we have. spread some sort of saucy substance on the Nan bread (olive oil with herbs will work too) cut up your leftovers and whatever else you have in the fridge, spread on Nan bread top with some cheese to help it stay together cook it! the grocery store here sells them in packs of two. I find it perfect amount for two people. my husband eats a little more than one and I eat a little less :) (another great one ... check your grocery stores "quick sale" section for Nan bread on sale. freeze it and you have ready made pizza crust whenever you have to make a quick dinner)

Can I put in a recommendation for milk chocolate pizza?

Yeah, that's right - a normal margherita pizza with tomato sauce, cheese, thyme, basil and...bits of milk chocolate!  Chop the individual squares up a bit before you put them on - maybe quarters.  Despite much preferring dark choc normally, it doesn't seem to work on pizzas, IMHO.

I should probably mention that other people I've shown this to have described it as "interesting", "different" and suchlike, but well....I really like it!

I love pizza.  I read a few, and I wondered if there were any sauce recipes on Instructables?  I know there is a mozzarella post, which would be a heckuva DIY pie.  Especially in a homemade oven.

Someday, I'm going to make the ultimate DIY pie.  Someday.

I do my own sauces every time but never remember to document them, because I just make them up on the spot, though they usually work out great...

The easiest pizza sauce I've ever made is throwing split tomatoes (different types is best), seeds and all on a baking sheet with garlic, onion, some herbage and red pepper and roasting for a little bit.

Then, I just dump it in a bowl and take the immersion blender to it.

But, never documented it.  I hope someone puts one up.

I prefer a slightly chunky sauce so I usually do something similar but hand chop it rather than blending, then chuck in herbs etc and usually use a few other condiment sauces as flavouring, bit of chilli, hint of BBQ etc.

Though pasata straight from a carton works as a really basic sauce and it's also lovely with cheese on toast...

Come tomato season, I will catalogue the sauce making.

Nice guide, thanks for adding mine, was quite surprised because it went relatively unnoticed...
