Homemade Shampoo

Step 8: YUMMY

I can't resist the alluring smell of this luxurious shampoo.

• ¹/₄ cup distilled water
• ¹/₄ cup liquid Castile Soap - I use unscented, but you can choose your favorite
• 2 tsp jojoba oil
• 10 drops vanilla essential oil
• 10 drops coconut fragrance oil
• Flip Cap Bottles or Foaming Bottles to dispense

Mix together all the ingredients. Store in a bottle. Use as you would any shampoo, rinse well.
Dry not to drink this one. It smells tooooo good. . .

Can this just be kept in the bathroom shower? Will it go bad after a certain period of time?

As long as you use distilled, purified or ionized water it shouldn't go bad. I make mine up in approx. 20 oz quantity at a time and because I don't use it but once a week it will last me almost a year. If you use tap water, though, boil it for at least 2 min. before mixing it up to kill any bacteria that may be living in it. I always have distilled water in the house so I use that.

If theres jojoba oil already in the Castile soap, do i still need to add the 2 tsp?
