Introduction: Homemade Vegan Dog Treats

Step 1: Ingredients

- 1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
-1/4 cup rolled oats
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 3/4 soy milk
- 3/4 cup peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
- 1 tbsp agave

Additional flour for rolling


Preheat oven to 350° F

Mix the wheat flour, oats, and baking powder in a large bowl.

Step 2: Wet Ingredients

Use a food processor to blend the milk, peanut butter, and honey until smooth.

Step 3: Mix!

Mix both the dry and wet ingredients together.

Step 4: Dough

Knead the dough while still in the bowl with your hands until fully incorporated. The dough will be stiff and somewhat stiff.

Roll half of the the dough out on a floured surface to 1/4 thickness. Cut fun shapes with cookie cutters. Roll out the rest of the dough and make more shapes.


Put the treats and an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for 20 minutes.


Turn off oven and let them cool overnight. Please make sure the treats are completely cooled before serving.

Step 5: Enjoy!

These treats are yummy for dogs and humans too!

Dogs eat a lot of things that aren't necessarily appropriate for their diet. They NEED meat to survive. I'm not a Doctor of Veterinarian Sciences though so what do I know?!

We have given them to many dogs before and they love them! Not everything that dogs eat have to be meat.
