Very neat! No soldering... Ideal for ocassional work!

Is there a way to buy these pieces already made, like a kit?

This is very neatly made. In my experience, an electric drill does not produce enough speed to make smooth cuts on a lathe, or to finish and polish a wood turning. Perhaps you intend to use smaller metal rod for your turnings and a file for a cutting tool. If you do turn wooden items, a Dremel tool with a burr tool or a grinding wheel, or even a sanding drum might help a lot.
