Ingredients:

for the dough: - 500 gram flour
                       - 20 gram yeast
                       - a pinch of sugar
                       - a small spoon of salt
                       - a big spoon of olive-oil
                       - 300 ml of warm water

everything else: - 10 hotdogs
                          - 1 egg
                          - one piece of parmesan-cheese
                          - one onion
                          - pepper (red) / marinated

instruction:

Put the flour in a bowl and make a small hollow in the middle. Mix the yeast with the sugar and a bit of the water. Add the mixture to the flour and mix it a bit into it. Add the salt, oil and the rest of the water and mix everything to yeast-dough. The dough should be soft but not sticky. After finishing it, put it in a closed bowl and place it on a warm place for 30 minutes. After that the volume of the dough should be much bigger.

During that time, place a baking paper on the baking sheet. When the dough is ready divide it into 10 same pieces. Take one piece and make a 30 centimetre long string. It is easier to do it when the hands are a bit wet. On one side make it a bit thinner than the rest (tail), on the other side a bit bigger (head). Continue until every piece is done. Now take the hotdogs, wrap the strings around it and place it on the baking sheet. Normally it looks better after baking when the head is on top of the hotdog.
For the face take a scissors and cut a small "mouth" into the snakes head and place a piece of the pepper in it. For the eyes i like to use some small fried pieces of onion!

Heat the oven to 180°C and beat the egg during that time. Coat the egg on the snakes and disperse the parmesan-cheese over it. Now bake it for 25 minutes in the oven!

The Hotdog-Snakes are ready!

These were a huge hit last night. I made them with black angus hot dogs and everybody wanted more. The dough was perfect. Thanks for sharing this great, fun recipe.
