How I heat treat my knifes

Excellently done. A few pointers: for one, I think you need to get a set of proper tongs, my friend. Second, the thing you want to be most sure of is that the entire blade is the same temperature, that will ensure an even hardness. The spine of the blade actually should not be the same color as the blade, because the spine needs to be softer and more flexible. Last, for heat treating, the blade does not have to lose its magnetism, and in fact should not, because the blade should have been normalised first. One last thing, don't forget to temper! Other than that, very well done!
