Step 4 The bendy shiny stuff.

After a bit of a play with the kids 3 meters of the bendy shiny stuff, ducting to us grownups, was attached to the bottom of the cooler with duct tape.
I made a square wooden adapter for the house end and mounted it in an open window.
I bought a ducting vent attachment and screwed that to the wooden adapter.
The ducting was attached to that and the cooler was ready to be wired up.

Do a web search for 18" insulated flex duct. it also comes in 16", 14", 12", 10" inside diameters, and so on down the line. Even Amazon carries it, $65.95 for 18"i.d., 25' length.

Hi fiazanfriend; Thanks for your question. I apologize for taking so long to answer. I don't think most people who are as lucky as I am and live in a country like Australia understand how difficult it must be living where most things we take for granted are not available. When I look at the insulated ducting I see that it is made of 3 layers with a coil of wire to give it shape. It has an outside layer of reflective plastic, a layer of insulation and an inside layer of plastic. The coil of wire is attached to the inside layer of plastic and is between it and the insulation. It is in situations like yours that the greatest of minds do their best work. Have a look at your problem, at every material you have available, no matter how unlikely it may look, and let your mind do the rest. I am sure you will come up with a workable solution.
