Projectors are a very cost-effective way to watch big screen movies. Good screens can cost over $500. Here, I show how how to build your own for under $50.

Nice video HowToLou. Really detailed but quick and easy to follow. I didn't do any of this but the video was nice.

I went student-cheap redneck and put a thick bedsheet up with 2 nails and there, home theater in 9$.

Thanks. The bedsheet is a great temporary solution for student housing!
I used a white PVC shower curtain stretched over a wooden frame that I built. I think it cost me about $15. $5-shower curtain, $4.85 x 2 for the 3/4" x 4" x 8' pine wood planks plus tax. Still use it today.
Nice. That is a good way to do it too. The velvet border on this one serves to absorb any overspray light, square off any keystoning, and give the screen that professional finished look. My friends are positive this is an expensive screen, until I tell them otherwise. :)
