Step 1Buy the stuff

Buy the stuff
If you want to keep scorpions you need to have somewhere to keep them and you will need some things to put in it.

The things you need are:
1)A tank (terrarium or fish tank)
2)Sand (must be clean, try your local pet shop or online)
3)Leaves, bark, small sticks, rocks (anything a scorpion can hide or climb on
4)A very small dish
5)Cotton wool
6)Crickets or cockroaches (food)
7)Your scorpion(s)

You will also need a terrarium heater light to heat the tank.

P.S Small scorpions can climb on glass, so if you get small scorpions make sure you get a tararium that is "escape" proof

Hey, this is a great instructable and is very informative. Just one thing is missing... pictures! It really helps a lot when trying to follow directions so you should consider taking some photographs. Once you do that and leave me a message when you have so that we can publish your work. Thanks! Thanks for the cool instructable and we hope to publish this soon!

There is no need for the cotton in the water dish, just make sure it isn't too big and is shallow. You scorpion is not going to drown in a shallow dish, and the cotton promotes the growth of bacteria and fungus' that can kill your scorpion.

Just a scorpion heads up...Not all types of scorpion can live together. Some will tear each other apart, others do fine. Anyone who wants to keep scorpions should do research on the particular breed. You also need to consider things like humidity and temperature gradiant in the enclosure. If you put an emperor scorpion in the enclosure you have created, it would not live very long at all. They are jungle scorpions that need a higher humidity to survive. For the type of scorp you have, it looks great. Lots of area for them to explore and exercise. Nice instructable!

I was actually thinking of scorpions just before I came across this. My friend was going to get a pet scorpion if he got all Cs or better. Sadly, this didn't happen.
