How To Create A Camera Obscura by themostwonderfulplaceonearth
I have done this in a few different rooms so bare with me as i try to explain...
A camera obscura is basically a projection from a round hole. Thats it in its entirety. Light comes through the hole (usually made of metal) and projects in a dark box or room.
So all you need to do is block out all of the light. You can use black plastic or blankets and put them over the windows.
Now get a washer, a piece of cardboard, and tape. Put a hole in the cardboard, and tape the washer on it.
This should be the only source of light in the room. Now hopefully it will project. Sorry for such a rough explanation. My camera does not function in low light also, so I will show you some reference pictures. The larger the washer the brighter but the sharpness is lost. Experiment and have fun!

Sorry, I'm not following this at all.

How and what are you projecting? All I see is the projected image, but not how to project it.

Please explain.

When you place the projection hole on your window with the rest of the window blocked the image will be projected. You don't have to do anything else, although the image will probably be very dark and upside down.

The projected image comes from outside, through the obscura into the darkened room.

Excellent! I am going to try some making some time-lapse footage like this. What are your exposure settings on your camera to catch the projection of the Obscura?
