Step 1: Buy LEGO Set 8014 - Clone Walker Battle Packs

legostarwarsclonewalkerbattlepack1.jpg
LEGO 8014, Clone Walker Battle Pack, comes with 4 clone troopers and 1 clone walker. You'll want to buy as many of these as possible to create the size army you'll shooting for. So, if you want a clone army of 40, buy 10 set. You can buy them  here at Galaxy Bricks, the LEGO Star Wars Guide. Typically, the retail price for this set is around $10.99. So buying 10 of them will cost you around $110.

Now, don't panic, we will be recouping some of your money.

it is photoshoped.

He asked it it had been shopped. I think he meant did they take a pic of a couple of clones and then paste them to look like they had thousands. This picture is from a story on Gizmodo about some guys that assembled a huge clone army for charity.

when I saw this, I originaly thought this would be a photoshop trick for some reason... like making a giant army pic with just 1 trooper. that wouldn't be a bad idea. anyone want me to make an ible?
iproberry1 in reply to Krayzi99May 9, 2012. 1:54 PM
yes it is photoshop...you can see it on his hand: a white outline.

Why sell the walkers when you could keep them to transport them? Sure, it gets you money but if you give them to someone like say kids they might want the transport, i mean why sell them???
monsterlego in reply to StarwarsfanaticSep 15, 2011. 9:07 AM
I second that.

Now when I buy these kits, I pay at the customer service desk and open the box in front of the employee. If there are any issues, it is handled on-the-spot. Once you walk out of the door, it is your word against the store. It is impossible to prove yourself innocent. They (as I would in their position) believe the product was complete upon purchase.

Just a tip. I fell victim to somebody removing the clones, resealing, and returning the Lego package. I will not fall for this scam again. I was out purchasing 8 packages (all that were in stock) every package was missing the weapons and Clones. I should have suspected something when the store had more than they did normally.

Open them in front of employees before leaving the store to ensure you get what you paid for.....

This practice must be pretty common. I see that walker on E-bay a lot. I purchased one once and the seller did not mention the figures and weapons were not included.

For those who decide to build their army, at least make sure the buyer is aware that the item is the walker only. Be courteous so that here are no disputes. Also, don't be the jerk that buys the Legos from the store, takes out the parts they want, reseals the package and returns it. We wanted to build a Lego Star Wars diorama like the ships you get in the video game, and a Lego Army. We purchased every walker package only to open them to find every one was a opened and resealed package. We wanted to exchange them, but Target thought we were the ones that were pulling the scam. I haven't shopped at any Target stores since.

Good idea.

or you could buy the sets and keep the walkers, then sell the clones for 2 for 10 bucks. im not even kidding, check ebay. so u buy 20 sets, u sell all the troopers, then u have enough moneyfor 40 sets, but u can buy 20 sets, and u can keep th money, then its like u get 20 sets, and 20 extra walkers, for free.

I was lucky In Ireland there was a Smyth's toy store offer that their was a coupon in The Daily Star (a 1euro newspaper). It got you 1 clone trooper + a single-trooper walker about as high as high as 1.5 clones. I bought 20 papers so I got 20 clones and 20 walkers. I sold 17 walkers on average about 1.50 each in school over a month or so, giving me a small profit, a free army and free vehicles.

Well done!
This would go great with BrikWars: www.brikwars.com/

I never played it, though. I gave away my legos before I found out about the site. However, I did dream of amassing an army of clone troopers of an epic scale. My army was a massive ten troopers...
