My friend wanted me to make him a silhouette using a laser cutter.
He wanted to give it to his father for fathers day.
I had just a day to get the project done.
My friend had sent me the file and I used Adobe Illustrator to get it ready for the laser.

Materials list (I suggest you purchase this at Lowes)
4 - 1/4" 2'x3 Sheets of Oak Ply
1 - Can of black spray paint. I used flat.
Wood glue
Adobe Illustrator

I made this at TechShop Round Rock- Austin

Step 2: Laser Cut Your Pieces

You will want to cut 3 layers for the head and 2 for the guns.

I used the Trotec laser cutter at TechShop Round Rock.

If you dont have access to a laser cutter then please send me a message and I would be glad to help you out.

Step 3: Glue Your Pieces Together

Picture of Glue Your Pieces Together
You will want to get some clamps to hold the 3 layers for the face and the 2 layers for the guns.

You will need some wood glue in between the layers.

The glue will be ready for paint in about 30 minutes to an hour.

Step 4: Paint It!

I used some matte black spray paint from Lowes.

You will want to do 2-3 coats.

Step 5: Glue The Painted Pieces To Base

More glue!

Clamp it down and you will be done!
