Introduction: How to Make a Store Bought Cake Mix Better

About: Hey! I like browsing through instructables and writing books. I don't really post so if you want to find someone who posts, I'm not the one for you

How do you make a Store Bought Cake Mix better? I have some easy tips for you to make a wonderful fluffy cake. This is my first Instructable.

Step 1: Pick a Cake Mix

Pick the best quality cake mix that you can find at your local supermarket. I tasted this wonderful cake made from one person I know and it was Duncan Hines. I am not trying to advertise that brand for those who think I am trying to advertise them. Any quality cake mix works. I picked Dark Chocolate Fudge so a lot of the tips will not be directed to Chocolate Cake but it will still have a lot of tips about cake in general.

Step 2: Collect the Supplies

Collect all the supplies needed to start off with like oil, eggs, water, exc.

Step 3: Beat the Eggs

You want to beat eggs one at a time. Beat the first egg, then add the second and beat it. It depends how many eggs are needed for the cake mix. If you want an even better fluffy cake, try beating the egg whites a lot then add the egg yolks. Also, use a fork with long prongs to mix the egg yolks. Be sure to "strain" the eggs when you put a new egg in. DO NOT CRACK EGG SO IT HAS LITTLE PIECES O EGGS SHELLS BROKEN, YOU WANT CLEAN BROKEN EGGS. (Pictures shown above)

Step 4: Mixing (Part One)

Mix the vegetable oil and water in the same bowl before adding the cake mix. I feel it helps with the fluffiness, it depends on your liking. When you pour in the vegetable oil or any kind of oil needed, it should sit on top of the water. Mix thoroughly with whisk. (If mixed correctly a protective screen cover on a device, must have a cover on the front on the screen though, will feel softer and cleaner.)

Step 5: Mixing (Part Two)

Mix in the cake batter and last but not least the eggs. It should look very smooth. Use a big bowl if baking all of the batter. Use your whisk and put it to the side of the bowl while still touching the batter and twist like a mixer. (Suggested to use a mixer.)

Step 6: Line Pan With Wax Paper

For this step all you have to do is line the pan with wax paper for an easy removal. (It doesn't have to be neat) Be sure if you find some areas where it was not mixed go bag and do it.

Step 7: Bake and Enjoy!

Now all you have to do is put the cake in the oven and when it is done, ENJOY! (I you want to before you put the cake in the oven if it is chocolate be sure to put chocolate chips to add another layer of chocolate to the mix. Thanks for reading!
