Introduction: How to Make a Swarovski Pearl Wire Wrapped Ring

About: I love making jewelry and sharing that experience with others. Steampunk is my favorite type of jewelry but I also enjoy buying and making basic designs.

Wire Wrapped Rings are always popular and fun to make.  You can wear them or give them as gifts.  In this tutorial I'm going to show you how to make a Wire Wrapped Ring with a Swarovski Pearl.

Step 1: You'll Need Jewelry Making Pliers

1)  Flat Nose Pliers
2)  Wire Cutters
3)  Optional Round Nose Pliers

Step 2: Add a Swarovski Pearl and Wire

You will need to purchase a Swarovski Pearl or use a similar bead if you have one.  Take 2 1/2 feet of brown 18 gauge artistic wire or wire of your choice.

Step 3: You'll Need a Ring Mandrel

I used a steel ring mandrel but you can use anything that will allow you to wrap the wire around it in the shape of a ring.

Step 4: Thread the Wire With the Bead

Take the Pearl bead and thread it onto the wire.

Step 5: Position the Bead

Position the bead in the middle of the wire.

Step 6: Place Wire on Mandrel

Place the wire on the mandrel about one size larger than the size you want.  Example, If you wear a size 7, place the wire at size 8.  Bend wire around the mandrel and wrap the wire around 2 times.

Step 7: Wrap Wire Around the Bead

Take both ends of the wire and begin to wrap them around the bead going in one direction.

Step 8: Continue to Work Your Way Around the Bead

Continue to work your way up with the wire around the bead.  Keep the wrap as tight as possible to keep it neat.

Step 9: Tuck the Wire

Once you've reach the near end of the wire, tuck the wire around both sides of the ring.

Step 10: Coil the Wire

Coil the wire around both sides of the ring 3 - 5 times using your flat nose pliers.  Cut off the end and the ring is complete.
