4 layer your felt and fabric to make a nice sandwich[5].jpg
5 nicely stack your layers with a paper apple on top[5].jpg
6 using a very small stitch length sew around apple remember your needle isn't for paper[8].jpg
7 peel off paper and trim up thread[5].jpg
8 carefully snip just the felt on the outside then cut around inside of apple[5].jpg
9 it looks like this on the inside now do the other side[5].jpg
Anjeanette, of RootsAndWingsCo made this adorable apple garland out of felt and material. It was a simple project that even those who say they can't sew-can do! (As long as you can thread your needle.)

I started with felt in three colors. Then I found some coordinating patterned fabric for each color.

Great instructable, we will be running a Saturday workshop to decorate our community centre for the onset of fall.

Your execution is utterly charming. I think it would do for a very nice mobile as well.

Cute! I like the felt-on-fabric technique. Oh, and if you reply directly to Lemonie's comment he'll get a notification. ;)

LOL, Lemonie, I referenced myself, Anjeanette, in third person because there are 3 of us that run our blog together. We tend to do this somewhere just to note which of us made a certain project (though many times all of us make the projects together). Hope that helps with the confusion.

Why do you refer to Anjeanette in the third person, are they not you?
