How To Make Chicken Fried Bacon

Step 7Frying the Bacon

Frying the Bacon
Now here comes the fun part! If you have a thermometer, the oil will be ready to use at 375 degrees. If you don't have one, sprinkle a litte flour into the oil. If it starts to fry, the oil is ready to use. With a pair of kitchen tongs, NOT your fingers, drop in two or three pieces of bacon into the oil. If you overload the pan, the oil temperature will plummet and the oil will not be hot enough to fry. After about 30 seconds, flip the bacon strips over so that the other side gets cooked. The cooking process happens really quickly, about one to 1 1/2 minutes. You will know when the bacon is done when both sides of the coating turn a golden brown. Remove the bacon and place on a plate covered with a few paper towels.

I love to make things & work with my hands. I mostly make stuff for dogs and sometimes I dabble with recipes, too. Right now I'm in the process of setting up a DIY blog for pet lovers.
