Step 1: Gather Your Materials
Earring backs from a craft kit or old dangly earrings, wire (two 6 inch pieces), scissors (I have my goopy, sticky duck tape ones, and my clean ones), and duck tape.
Step 2: Attaching The Wire To The Earrings
Fold the wire in half so the tips are meeting. Put your earring onto the halfway mark and twist. If you need to, use a pliers to help twist the wire to the end. The twists do not need to be very tight, but tight enough so the earrings will not slip off of it. You can trim the wire depending on how long you want your earrings. The wire will go all the way down your earring, so however long your wire is, that's how long your earrings is.
Step 3: Making Your Feather And Putting It Onto The Wire
Cut or rip a piece of duck tape as long as you want, this will be the length of your feather. Attach the sticky side of your piece and put it onto the top of the wire. Cut another piece the same length and put the two pieces on top of each other making a piece of duck tape fabric on your wire. Make slits and cuts in the duck tape fabric to make it look like a feather. For the other earring, you can put your first finished one over the second, and trace it! Then they will look the same. P.S. I ended up making my feathers longer than the wire, you can do either way.
Step 4: Show Off Your New Earrings!
Make more and show them off! You made them, so have fun.
Step 5: Clean Up Your Work Area
Clean clean clean!! Then you have more space for creating more cool things from socksmonkeysduckstape! :D
